Texas man once again charged in child's murder

There are many ups and downs that can come with trying to handle criminal charges. In some cases, individuals could stand accused of a crime only to have the charge later dropped. Unfortunately, that does not always mean that the same individual will not come back around as suspect and face allegations again for serious crimes, like murder.

It was recently reported that this type of scenario is currently affecting one man in Texas. Apparently, the man was first arrested in 2016 in association with the death of an 11-year-old boy. The child had been walking home from school when he was stabbed approximately 20 times. In 2017, DNA evidence proved inconclusive, and as a result, the charges against the man were dropped.

Recently, the man was once again charged and, this time, indicted on charges of murder. The indictment reportedly resulted from improved DNA testing. At the time of the report, the now 29-year-old man was in custody, but he did not appear before the judge at his recent court date. It was not mentioned whether the man had obtained legal counsel at the time of the report.

This Texas man undoubtedly feels unsettled about his case, especially after having charges brought against him, dropped and then brought against him again. Murder cases are complicated matters to address, and he will certainly want to ensure that his situation is handled in the best manner possible. It may be in his best interests to become more knowledgeable about his defense options and what routes he could take as his case proceeds.
