Multiple counts of animal cruelty filed against men in moving van

The information a person gains after facing criminal charges can often prove immensely helpful. Two men may find it helpful to better understand their predicaments after recently being taken into custody in Texas. Reports stated that the men were driving a moving van, inside of which authorities purportedly found 27 live dogs and one that was deceased. It was unclear what caused authorities to locate or search the vehicle that resulted in the discovery of the animals.

The dogs were allegedly kept in cages without food or water, and the interior temperature of the moving van was reported as being 121 degrees. The dogs were reported as being French Bulldogs, and authorities believe that they were brought into the United States from another country. The two men, whose ages were given as 18 and 19 years old, are currently each facing 28 counts of animal cruelty. 

In order to address the allegations against them, the men will undoubtedly want to make sure that they understand the various aspects of their cases. Animal cruelty charges can come with steep penalties if convictions takes place, and as the men face numerous counts, they will certainly want to create and present meaningful criminal defense presentations. Since the men were apparently from out of state, it may also be of use to them to learn more about Texas legal proceedings for their cases.
