Drug bust within a school zone leads to charges for Texas man

Dealing with the aftermath of certain decisions can be difficult, especially when certain choices result in criminal charges. If an individual is caught in possession of controlled substances within a school zone, he or she could face serious allegations. Luckily, accused parties have the right to create and present a criminal defense against any charges brought against them.

It may prove wise for one man in Texas to review his defense options after he was recently taken into custody. Reports stated that authorities obtained and executed a search warrant for an RV that was parked across the street from a high school. It was unclear what may have caused police to become suspicious of the man or the RV.

During the search, authorities allegedly discovered weapons, $12,000 in cash, 10 lbs. of marijuana and cartridges of cannabis oil. The sheriff involved in the case stated that the drugs came from out of state, but it was unclear what evidence allowed authorities to come to this conclusion. The 36-year-old man was taken into custody, and he is currently facing various drug charges. It was noted that some allegations could potentially increase to federal charges.

When it is alleged that drug offenses has taken place within a school zone, charges can become more serious. The man accused in this Texas case will certainly want to ensure that he understands the exact allegations brought against him and what it could mean for his case if he faces federal charges. Obtaining information from local legal resources could help him ensure that he has reliable facts relating to his case.
